Our Work
Healthy Body is the greatest gift to mankind
To human existence, good health and well-being are important. Accessibility to health care and medical treatment is not available to everyone at their doorstep in India, while our government is working towards it, but it is still far from fact. Not only does the lack of medical services impact those who are unwell, but it also creates an unhealthy environment for those around them.
As a socially cognizant organization, Accord Trust recognizes the need for health care and has thus undertaken regular health check-ups for the underprivileged sections of the society. We have undertaken a major initiative of organizing free monthly health check camps dedicated to ensuring the health of underprivileged sections of society. Following the pledge of doctors from Accord Hospitals to provide healthcare services to urban, semi-urban and rural areas of India, free medical camps are conducted across various locations every year. These camps are being conducted specifically for privileged with active participation by Clinicians, Nurses and Support Staff from Accord Hospitals.
Tobacco use is a major cause of preventable death and disease in India. Unfortunately, very few people in India quit tobacco use. Lack of awareness of harm, ingrained cultural attitudes, and lack of support for cessation maintains tobacco use in the community.
We at Accord Trust aims to improve public health by discouraging tobacco use through our tobacco cessation workshops. We accomplish our mission by
- Making tobacco treatment available to everyone by setting up a series of workshops
- Sensitization and distribution of information.
- Promoting tobacco cessation efforts through educating practitioners.
- Having a skilled and talented workforce.
- Create a multidisciplinary approach to tobacco control-related science and research activities.
Blood donation is not only necessary for one patient or hospital, it is necessary for the entire nation and every human being in need of blood during an emergency. As soon as an individual reaches the age of 18, he or she is eligible for blood donation. Our nation has considerable shortage of blood, during the year 2017-2018 the requirement for blood was 13.4mn units and units collected was 11.45mn units, a blood shortage of whooping 1.95mn units
We at Accord trust aims to reduce the shortage of blood by conducting blood donation camps at regular intervals. Always remember, Blood for humans can come only from humans. There is just one hope. The patient has only one chance – “A Blood Donor”.
Basic life support is a standard of medical care used for victims of life-threatening diseases and accidents before full medical care can be offered at a hospital. Trained medical personnel, including emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and trained bystanders can provide it.
Accord trust helps in conducting BLS training through experienced medical professionals by imparting the knowledge about what constitutes the basic life support and when to administer it. This course will teach participants how to perform life support techniques including chest compressions, basic airway management, rescue breathing, AED use for defibrillation and more.
Minutes matter when it comes to injury, First Aid is an immediate medical assistance provided to victims of injuries or disease before a trained emergency medical service arrives.
We at Accord ensures that the training is provided in a careful engineered environment. The curriculum encourages pupils to understand the difference between life and death and helps alleviate the wounded’s pain. The program prepares individuals to provide patients with immediate medical support prior to arriving on the scene with first aid.
